When an anchor in specialist housing choices for older people meets an expert modelling agency, what happens next is revealed in this booking blog.
Who is Anchor?
Who is England’s largest provider of expert housing and care for people in later life? With almost 1,700 locations dotted across the country, Anchor might be a name that you’ve come across. For those who haven’t, this company has personally tailored housing choices such as retirement properties, care homes and services for older people, namely, on-call 24/7 emergency care, specialist dementia care, assistance if English is not a first language and a pet-friendly policy. There’s much they do for the senior generation and it shows in their hard work, time and dedication towards all their brilliantly tailored services.
When it came to refreshing its marketing images, Anchor took the plunge and stepped forward to request several commercial and lifestyle models from our modelling agency, Models Direct. Our team understands that as nervous as some models can feel about their modelling assignment, so can clients who are diving in deep for the first time with models.
However, we were so pleased that they did and we respected their request. MD hasn’t worked with Anchor before but we certainly hope this isn’t the last!
They were on the lookout for male and female models of differing ages and backgrounds to reflect their diverse and inclusive company. Our modelling specialist team helped to shortlist adult and senior models who fit the criteria Anchor was after.
Our selected models
After careful selection, they dug in and shared their final choices with us as to who they wanted to represent their digital services. The models that got through to the final round, and of course, who were happy to be booked for a photo shoot, were Neville, Philip, Rosamund, Suly, Urska, Lynne, Elbie, Malikah and Trudie.
Our lifestyle modelling group were amazing! They all posed as Anchor staff and clients as opposed to using their employees instead. Why? Well, some companies choose this route because models can demonstrate poses, express emotions and showcase products and services in a visually appealing way over existing employees. This expertise can be pivotal for creating visually compelling content that effectively communicates the desired message to the target audience.
Feedback time
We always ask our models to share their experiences and feedback after their booking so that we can build on our reviews section for clients and models to read. MD has collated a set of reviews from this booking which you can read here:
Philip says: “This was my first model shoot and wow, what a fantastic experience. Models Direct were very supportive with emails and phone calls and nothing was left out. The shoot at Anchor Care was a fantastic experience. The other models were supportive and friendly with lots of advice. The Anchor staff made us feel very welcome. There was food/snacks/drinks available all day. The photographers were very professional and I felt safe in their hands. Lots of videos and still shoots were taken.”
Rosamund shares: “The day of filming exceeded all expectations and I felt so comfortable from start to finish. I hadn’t realised how much I’d enjoy the experience and the friendly chat between the client, the photographers and the models kept a smile on their faces all day!’
Malikah expresses: “I had an amazing experience as usual I made a few friends which was great. The staff at the care house were very accommodating”
Suly conveys: “Fantastic and trustworthy company. Amazing opportunities and lovely staff. Big shoutout to Mandy & Charlie.”
Trudi explains: “My first ever shoot. There were 9 models/actors and we were taking parts of residents or carers on-site at a care home. Two photographers and a cinematographer worked with us throughout the day in lots of different scenarios for both advertising and marketing shots. It was very professional and excellently organised. Everyone was so very helpful. I absolutely loved it and had a fabulous day. Charlie from Models Direct was wonderful from the booking stage to guidance beforehand and checking on me afterwards. Feel very supported. Thank you.”
We got a smiley face from Urska where she explained: “It was an amazing opportunity! I am looking forward to getting more castings.’
Finally, Lynne adds, “I had a really great time yesterday on set at Overstone House with another few newbies. The staff were fab and laid on a really good buffet lunch (so much food). The photographers we very patient with us and I think they got some really excellent shots of us. All in all, it was just a red-letter experience. Thanks, Charlie”
