Avington Park

Many good things come in pairs.

At Avington Park in Hampshire, two pairs of enthusiastic models got to grips with a shoot at one on the most prestigious locations in southern England.

The 16-century country house is located a few miles from Winchester in stunningly picturesque countryside, so it’s no wonder our models Jay and Thais, and Daniel and Kevin, were delighted to have been chosen to showcase the whole estate and what it can offer. Was it more of a luxury mid-week break than a well-paid job?

The marketing shoot took place in late January, so it was the ideal time to highlight Avington Park’s facilities ahead of spring and summer, including why it’s a magnificent choice for weddings, Valentine’s Day and relaxing days to get away from the stresses of modern life. They specialise in private functions, so they needed a small group of commercial models to advertise what they can offer clients.

And did we mention the birds of prey? Our models even had the chance to experience the joys of falconry, complete with thick gloves and jesses. Many models reading this will assume it was the epitome of outdoor modelling, and our four models certainly wouldn’t argue against it.

Of course, it wasn’t all play. Sure, the two pairs of models experienced the delights of being outdoors on a crisp winter day in a superb environment, but their main function was to…well, work. They were put to good use when the crew asked them to pose as guests of the glorious estate. Thais and Jay got intimate as they posed as a romantic couple enjoying each other in an outdoor heated pool, and then joined Kevin and Daniel by a roaring fire sharing marshmallows. After the lads learnt a few falconry skills under an expert’s watchful eye, it was a stroll through the estate to capture its size and beauty, followed by a bite to eat at the estate’s onsite pub, The Chestnut Horse. Some may call it the perfect day of modelling. We call it another successful assignment completed due to our model’s enthusiasm, our professionalism, and our client’s friendly cooperation.

Okay, so it does sound like a well-paid modelling assignment whilst the quartet enjoyed themselves. But that’s not so unusual – we’ve stressed plenty of times that modelling is work, but also incredibly fun. You’ll work with sympathetic professionals who are keen to get the best photos and films, whilst making sure models are relaxed and well looked-after. Sounds pretty good to us.

Commercial models are integral to everything we’ve excelled at for the last 34 years. Whilst we cater for pet modelling in various assignments and have many jobs to suit anyone wanting to become a model, commercial models are at the core of what we do – and do very well, we might add.

Well done to Daniel, Kevin, Thais and Jay on a remarkable modelling shoot, and we’re thrilled Avington Park echoed those sentiments.
