You’d think that wedding dreams had been shattered because of the pandemic, but this certainly hasn’t been the case. Wedding bells are still ringing and couples have been taking their vows in alternative ways, declaring their love and commitment despite these unprecedented times.
As a result, bridal modelling has not experienced any dips or sudden plunges to suggest that wedding season is on the verge of collapse. On the contrary, Models Direct have noted that this sphere of modelling has continued to show popularity with clients continually approaching us for our professional female and male models.
Weddings open up a whole world of modelling opportunities where models showcase more than just wedding dresses, suits, tuxedos or precious rings. Fittings for wedding dress designers, showcasing venues, promoting wedding photographers and videographers, and wedding entertainment are just the icing on the (wedding) cake. Models are in demand for wedding caterers and of course, for hair and makeup artists, and wedding jewellers too. Additionally, for those who enjoy something a bit different, weddings prompt the ever so popular tradition of henna designs. They are gorgeous and intricate designs decorated on the bride, groom, bridesmaids, mothers of the bride and groom, friends and family. Henna artists need people too and use body parts models to build their beautiful portfolios.
Wedding success with our bridal models
We have had our professional model, Elle, take on the lead role of bride many times and promote bridal modelling. She has built up a wonderful portfolio of bridal work with our agency and has had the chance to work with gorgeous wedding venues such as the Jury Inn Hotels in Leicestershire and Hales Hall in Norfolk.
“I just recently completed another bridal assignment with Models Direct! It was a fantastic day shooting at HALES HALL barn with a very talented and professional team! We were so lucky to have the whole run of the barn when shooting so had lots of choice for different images and backdrops As a new florist working at Elizabeth’s in Norwich alongside my modelling work it was amazing to have used their flowers on the shoot as well as a suggestion of mine! Everyone was SO supportive and willing to collaborate with one another -it was lovely! I am always checked up on as a model before and after the shoot with Models Direct. With support along the way with any queries I may have. I can’t recommend them enough and can’t wait for another shoot! ” – Elle

Not only this but our talented models, Shyan and Louise, have also been the stars of the show shooting stills with Brides Do Good. They are an amazing social enterprise striving to eradicate child marriage, so when they approached our team for two of our models, we were utterly thrilled. The prestigious Savoy Hotel situated in the Strand, London welcomed three of our models – Sabah, Khedidja and Jake – for some classic, romantic shots promoting the beautiful location perfect for a wedding.
“I had an amazing experience with working with Models Direct. I was involved with the Brides do good photoshoot, and as well as the shoot being for a good cause (to send proceeds towards ending child marriages) it was also very fun. I feel that through this shoot Models Direct has equipped me with some necessary experience to help me progress in my modelling. Overall, a fun first photo shoot!”
