Oh yes we do! We just love Christmas here at Models Direct!
But, then again, doesn’t everyone?
Christmas comes but once a year but our modelling jobs for the festive season are certainly among the most memorable.
Our models also adore Christmas, not only because it is a time of joy, happiness and togetherness, but also because it generates so much work.
Advertising agencies, marketing agencies and other clients start gearing up for Christmas months and months in advance.
They begin to plan their Christmas campaigns, seasonal advertising and festival promotions almost as soon as the new year begins – and by spring and summer are often ready to start shooting!
Here at Models Direct, we receive requests for male models, female models, families, children and seniors – well, everyone really!
And as ever, we search through our e-portfolios, provide our clients with a selection of suitable people and then they make the final choice.
So which have been the most memorable Christmas bookings over the years?
Well, in all honesty it is hard to choose as they have all been colourful, exciting and full of fun.
There was the incredible year that some of our child models received a surprise phone call from Santa – that certainly saw their little faces light up with glee!
The time young lad Noah, an extraordinary little boy who was born with the condition Spina Bifida, was chosen to star in the Christmas campaign for major supermarket Sainsbury’s.
And the occasion two of our star pets, Honey-Belle, a beautiful cockapoo, and Queenie, a picture purr-fect cat, were selected by John Lewis to appear in the national retailer’s Christmas mag.
We have had families who have appeared in festive photoshoots; couples who have cuddled beside sparkling Christmas trees and children who have sipped hot chocolate and been ice-skating for Bluewater Shopping Centre’s seasonal campaign.
These have all been great days out for our models – and of course everyone has enjoyed seeing the festive fruits of their labour a few months later as December has approached.
In fact, this is what young Breyton’s family said after his visit to Bluewater:
“This was Breyton’s first photo shoot and it was for Bluewater Shopping Centre in Greenhithe, Kent.
“Thank you Models Direct for putting him forward and to Charlie who was amazing with keeping us in the loop with all the details for the event.
“There were three other children (and their parents) at the shoot and it didn’t take long before the kids were chatting and giggling with one another and the parents doing likewise.
“Melanie and her team at Bluewater were fantastic and made the day a wonderful experience for the kids. Thank you.
“A gift and a cuddly reindeer from Santa and a hot chocolate after an ice skating session just added to a fabulous day.
“We cannot thank Models Direct enough for giving Breyton this opportunity, and hope that this us just the start of more to come.”
