Disney’s Frozen Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

Published: 5th May 2024

So, who loves a happy Disney ending? A show of hands, please! We’re pretty certain that there’ll be a sea of hands flapping in the air to indicate the agreeable excitement everyone shares when it comes to a magically memorable Disney film – young and old, no restrictions on age scale here, that’s for sure.

When you think of Frozen, you probably think of the belting song, Let It Go! We don’t blame you! The catchy tune of 2013 was sung by pretty much everyone who had heard it. (Maybe you’re singing it now as you read this). It was no surprise when it won the Academy Award for Best Original Song then.

The nostalgic trip a Walt Disney movie invites you to travel through is something quite incredible but what’s more incredible has been blockbuster, Frozen’s beautiful message that still feels like it was unleashed into our minds and hearts only yesterday. Sisterhood, love and lots of beautiful ice still resonates in our hearts after all these years. It honestly feels like it was only released yesterday!

The frozen landmarks outside of the studio

If you were out and about in central London, you might have spotted something quite eye-catching that happened overnight leaving you with an icy chill to celebrate this unforgettable phenomenon.

Disney’s team came up with a charming idea where the iconic Piccadilly Circus black cab and a Leicester Square red phone box metamorphosed into Frozen-inspired ice. It’s been a decade since the film made an explosive entrance into the real world and to celebrate its anniversary, the Walt Disney Company came up with this fabulous idea just as Princess Elsa freezes the Kingdom of Arendelle in the hit movie.

Our on-camera talent

Disney approached our specialist modelling team for a child model to step into Elsa’s princess shoes and wave their magic hands. So, we got to work straightaway and our team took charge to shortlist some of our child models who we felt would fit the task. This is where Zainah was selected for a centre stage promotional photoshoot, outside in the heart of the capital. Disney was happy and so were we. Zainah fit into character and it was a truly beautiful real-life recreation of our Disney princess’ ice powers.

To share some of the day with you, here are some gorgeous behind-the-scenes images and the released final image of Zainah featuring in Disney press.

We have a strong testimonial from Zainah mum’s, and we’re pretty sure Zainah spilled the beans and was excited to tell her classmates all about it too!

“When I signed my daughter up, the process was very easy and smooth, I was very much in the loop every step of the way. Within a few months, my daughter was offered her first assignment, which was great! I was over the moon as it was so fast, plus it was for a global kids company. The assignment was well explained to me, and I knew exactly what I needed to do as Claire kept me posted very frequently. On the day of the assignment, I met with the team who were all lovely and welcoming to both me and my child. It was a very great experience, and my daughter had the time of her life representing her favourite character. We would recommend models direct as we have had nothing but a positive experience since signing up, and we are sure there will be more to come.”

We’re so proud of Zainah, just as her mum is. She was a mini pro and instantly took on her role as Elsa immediately in her blue sparkly dress. Let’s see what the future holds and where Zainah expertly plays out in a future booking.
