At Models Direct, we like to help a truly diverse assortment of clients. We’ve provided models for notable media platforms, supermarkets, travel companies, fashion outlets and food retailers – and thousands more.
So when the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) got in touch with us to see if we had 10 suitable models to pose as workers at their prestigious Coventry HQ, we had the perfect ensemble for them. (Assignment pre-covid).
Our 10 selected models consisted of five adult females, and five adult males. Because of the MTC’s reputation as one of the largest public sector investments in the UK, our models had to look the business. Cue freshly-ironed shirts, pressed suits and a quick shoe polish! Before long, each of the “terrific ten” were put to work as commercial models in the prominent research and technology organisation.
The result was professional photos at various locations around the organisation’s campus for the MTC website. Some of our ten models were experiencing modelling work for the first time, which only ignited their passion and desire to acquire more work. For others, the campaign represented yet more rewarding work as commercial models, but they were just as keen to impress as the debutants.
One of the experienced models, Ty, was eager to share his feedback; “I had my third assignment through Models Direct with a very large company called MTC in Coventry – a photo shoot for their online website. Charlie was very helpful and friendly and made sure we had enough information to make our day go with ease. There were nine other models who were all fantastic and took direction well, so overall it was a fantastic day! I’m already looking forward to my next assignment! Thank you Models Direct.”
The MTC has currently 700 employees and aims to inspire and improve the UK’s manufacturing sector across the globe, including teaching and encouraging ambitious younger individuals to pursue a career in their chosen field. Their areas of expertise are varied, and include: energy; medical devices; aviation; pharmaceuticals; oil & gas; construction; food & drink; military; transport; aerospace, and computing. In fact, the good people at the MTC have been busy developing and manufacturing special “COVID shields” to minimise the risk of exposure to frontline NHS staff. This is just one reason why Models Direct was proud to be the supplier of models for their website.
Though commercial modelling is ideal for novices, the client and industrial environment dictated that the models had to be adults. Joining Ty, in no particular order, were: AJ, Catherine, Francesca, Gavin, Harjit, Jake, Janet, Qondoni and Sophie.
AJ reiterated Ty’s endorsement; “It was another amazing and memorable shoot arranged by Models Direct for MTC in Coventry,” he beamed. “It was a breathtaking and relaxing venue with excellent modern surroundings for the perfect photo shoot. The staff were warm and friendly from the start – and my colleagues were amazing! The food was nothing short of superb! Many thanks to Models Direct for always delivering. Looking forward to the next one!”
Francesca added; “I did my first assignment today – a corporate shoot for MTC with nine other Models Direct models. It was a fantastic day, and was great to meet other models. The direction from MTC was excellent and we were so well looked after! Thank you to Charlie at Models Direct for all your help! I can’t wait for my next assignment.”
For models looking to commercial modelling as their next step, these points should stand out from AJ and Francesca’s feedback: Commercial modelling is ideal for both experienced and non-experienced models.
1. Commercial modelling is ideal for both experienced and non-experienced models.
