We’ve always said that being a Models Direct model has many benefits. Our models can accept or decline jobs they are chosen for. They are paid withing five working days. Registered models are in the best possible situation to take advantage of our wealth of experience and our hundreds of clients.
But for many, the best aspect of modelling with us is that it’s fun. And that’s what this assignment was about. Our models were still required to be professional, of course, but there was an overriding sense of enjoyment when our models arrived at Greene King’s Derby outlet, being filmed for several short Tik Tok-style film clips.
Greene King have been loyal clients for many years. They know how we operate, and they always trust us to provide them the best models, no matter where in the UK they need them.
The national pub chain’s Flaming Grill trademarked brand can be found in several of their pubs. For this assignment, our three models weren’t asked to pose as regular customers; instead, they were stars of a professionally directed series of short clips showcasing the traditional mannerisms of British pub-goers.
Our three models were Zadie, Ben and Alex. They used their acting talents to portray humorous customer behaviours in a pub setting, all captured in short reels. These short films included our trio enacting the confusion of a small group of customers paying with credit cards, the feeling of “food envy” when one person orders a more mouth-watering dish than their friend, and the signs people make when they want another round of drinks serving. All in all, it was a light-hearted modelling job that went down as well as the pub grub our models enjoyed.

After their shooting day in Derby, Alex said, “After I first arrived, I met the lovely hosts, Dan and Grace, who oversaw the filming process throughout the day. The other two amazing models that I worked with were Zadie and Ben. We worked wonderfully as a team and had a team hug at the end of the day. It was a highly successful day infused with loads of laughter and fun activities in front of the camera.
“We were asked to do several funny videos which recorded our voices, movements and even dances. Our acting activities encompassed a wide variety of funny videos – both mute and where our voices were recorded – with one hilarious video showing Zadie and me dancing in front of the bar.
“Once all the work was completed with Dan and Grace we were asked to assist the other team, also working on site, with still modelling images for the Flaming Grill’s portfolio of still shoots. We completed it in no time, leaving the photographer and the director highly pleased with the result.
“Thank you to Charlie of Models Direct for putting me forward for this great opportunity and I look forward to my next project.”
Alex’s high praise was echoed by Ben. He said, “My shoot today was filming TikTok content for a national pub chain. The crew took tremendous care of me and were open to ideas and suggestions from the modelling team. We filmed a variety of scenes, some including dialogue, and had many laughs throughout the day. Thank you Models Direct!”
This was Zadie’s first job with us, and she’s hungry for more work. She told us, “I was lucky enough to get my first assignment this week. I worked alongside two great guys, and we did some fun skits for social media. I spent the whole time laughing and it was great fun. Thank you Models Direct for putting me forward and I can’t wait for my next assignment.”
Modelling is hugely enjoyable, and when you get paid to have fun in a hospitality environment…well, what could be better? That’s commercial modelling in a nutshell: posing as real people under professional guidance, meeting new people and cementing friendships, and receiving a healthy cheque at the end of it.
