It’s true that many of the assignments we send our models off on involve them stepping out in front of a camera for a photo or film shoot.
But not always!
There is also high demand for promotional modelling, where one or more of our female or male models are asked to attend a live event.
Once there, they may be asked to hand out leaflets, demonstrate products or chat to potential customers.
Promotional models often have to dress in branded or colour-themed clothing and may well be working alongside other models or members of our client’s team on the day.
One of our models, Leah, for example recently attended an event at NAEC Stoneleigh, near Kenilworth and Coventry, following a request from our client Fastline Steel Services UK Ltd.
The fencing company required an extra pair of hands to help them promote themselves and strengthen their presence at the event.
Another of our models, Maggie, was asked to attend a gig in Norwich for her promotional modelling assignment!
She went along when alt-country and folk Americana group Wandering Hearts were playing and, once there, she was asked to engage with concert-goers.
This is what she told us afterwards:
“My first job at the agency was to be a promo girl at a Wandering Hearts concert as they were coming around to play at the Arts Centre.
“I thought of it as a great opportunity to do something I love – meet new, amazing people as well as go to new places and events.
“My job was to socialise with the fans and see if they would like to follow the headlining band’s mailing list as well as give out very cute heart-shaped guitar picks.
“After I’d finished my work, the gig was still on for another hour so I was free to stay and enjoy it till the end.
“The staff were really lovely and talkative – and since I live quite close to the Arts Centre I’ve exchanged a few friendly conversations even after the event has ended.”
If you think you might enjoy earning a little extra through some part-time promotional modelling work, then please fill in our form, send us a photograph and wait for us to get in touch to explain more.
