Moving away from home is a big step for young people, whether they are heading off to university or to a first job.
And finding somewhere to live can be daunting as well as exciting.
At Models Direct, we are often approached by clients from right across the UK that build, operate or manage accommodation for students and young professionals.
These companies and organisations often have stylish, high-quality rooms, apartments or other living spaces they are seeking to market.
And to do so, they often require a number of happy, smiling, interesting young male and female models.
Models Direct has sent people to various British cities to take part in this kind of assignment, which might involve taking part in photo or film shoots.
Our young models – many of whom are students or young professionals themselves – have always relished the opportunity to try something different, meet new people and earn a little extra income.
On this latest occasion, we were approached by Now Students who needed young men and women to appear in photos for their website promoting Avon Studios in Bath.
This impressive building is situated on the riverside and has balconies overlooking the water.
The building encompasses studio-style accommodation as well as work and leisure areas.
Our tremendous team – Paul, Jahiem, Wills, Megan, Sophie and Erin – had to play the parts of students and young professionals making the most of the chic new spaces.
And how did they find the experience?
Paul said: “I had a modelling shoot yesterday with Now Student accommodation and it was great, with amazing teams on both ends: the client and the agency.
“The whole day was very relaxed and made me feel comfortable.
“I could not ask for a better first experience for modelling with the agency and hope to work through them again!”
Jahiem said: “What a great, friendly and exciting experience.
“The team was lovely, very helpful and made me feel super comfortable.
“It was one of the most fun things I’ve done in a while and hopefully I can do more soon.”
Wills agreed: “From the minute I accepted the job, Gemma from the agency was incredibly helpful and contacted me several times before, on the day and after the event, which was very reassuring.
“The actual photo shoot was so much fun. I really think the other five models and myself got on well, which made the experience even better.”
Sophie added: “It was a really fun shoot that made me feel comfortable – I am not a very confident person so it was a great opportunity for me.”
Megan also said it was a great experience that she would like to repeat.
And Erin had nothing but praise for Models Direct.
“This was my first modelling experience with Models Direct,” she explained.
“From start to finish, I have had an amazing experience with them.
“Anna has been so helpful setting my account and portfolio up, and Gemma has been a star organising everything for the modelling day!
“I really felt part of a team and at ease with the whole process.
“Now hopefully there will be many more modelling endeavours!”
