Melody Care

Published: 30th Nov 2024

Our warmest congratulations go to Anthony, one of our incredible mature models. He completed an assignment which couldn’t have gone any better, thus joining the legions of other mature models who continue to do us and our clients proud. As he was quick to tell us, “It was a very good day, and a learning curve.”

Anthony proved that age is no barrier to be a successful commercial model; in fact, for mature models, a certain age is usually the decisive factor for being chosen for work. That’s because many of our clients actively look for registered models who are 50 + years of age. For Anthony, his recent photo shoot proved to be a shining example of how mature models continue to make a big difference in their work.

We say “continue”, because we’ve placed thousands of mature models with our clients over the years. If it’s a case of supply and demand; the demand is certainly there and we’re experts at supplying the right models. We’ve got 34 years’ experience behind us, so our models know they’re in the right hands.

Anthony was picked by Melody Care, a multi-award-winning family-run business providing exceptional community care to those who need it most. They make over 3,000 client visits every week, mainly across Surrey and Hampshire.

Melody Care share our own ethos: emphasising how people can shine, unleashing new talents for the greater good. We’ve always stated that modelling is not just a job – it allows personal growth working with industry professionals, with models picking up tips and advice, all the while enjoying being featured in film and photo shoots across the country.

When we recommended several mature models for the assignment, Anthony was chosen for the photo shoot in Farnborough, Hampshire. As with all our models, he was thoroughly briefed before his day, so he was confident prior to being collected from the train station.

Anthony’s mission was to pose as a home care resident. The purpose was to accurately portray what it’s like to be a resident at Melody Care – to be in Melody Care’s care, if you like. The resulting images will appear on Melody Care’s website and, no doubt, on a social media. He was at ease in a range of different settings as the photographer captured all his commercial modelling qualities.

Anthony was asked to pose relaxing indoors chatting with a care worker, eating his lunch, being taken out to the cinema, displaying his green-fingered skills in the garden…every image was relevant to a typical day for a Melody Care resident.

Carers don’t simply look after those people in their care. They can help battle depression and isolation by taking them out for the day or just by chatting over a brew. Human interaction and understanding is the key to good mental health, and Anthony helped the company highlight their strength in the community.

Naturally, Anthony was delighted with the results.

“I had a wonderful day!  Everyone I worked with were very welcoming and friendly – thank you all. As I was playing the part of a client for a caring company, I was showcasing what Melody Care offers their elderly clients. I had photographs taken with several of their carers, and many other things like exercises, cooking, gardening, and going out to socialise. It was a very good and enlightening day.”

Anthony’s successful day’s shooting proves anyone with the right mentality can turn their hand to commercial modelling.

And the very first step is to register with us. That’s exactly what Anthony did, and he looks forward to working with many more companies in the future.
