Our amazing crew of models have been on international adventures, jet-setting across the world whilst others have been transported to tropical islands without having to pack a suitcase. How’s that, you might be thinking? Well, we’ll let you in on how. Welcome to Models Direct latest blog about photoshoots with our models “on holiday.”
A made up vacay
A make-believe holiday scene as part of a marketing campaign for brands and companies is not an uncommon setting to create. Our agency has had plenty of modelling briefs requesting talent to be part of an exotic vacation that has been specially set up for them to pretend they are somewhere far away. A made-up vacay? Yes, way!
Location, location, location
Okay, maybe we’ve got a bit carried away here but the pretend location can be curated such that you feel like you’re really where the set-up is. Tropical palm trees, special lighting, and extra features such as props – think beach towels, beach balls, cocktails and mocktails – are all inviting and delightful features.
Dress the part
You can’t complete the look if you’re not wearing summer dresses and shorts. Don’t forget your sunnies and hats too!
Summertime songs
You might have summer song vibes playing in the background to make the holiday magic feel alive. Unearthing classics like Madonna’s “Holiday” or something more like Kygo’s delicious tropical house will transport you to another dimension. Models can feel immersed in the experience with a great collection, which translates beautifully on camera. If not, you can always imagine your fav holiday time playing out, and connect with this sense to create some extra sparkle.
Final dreamy thoughts
Campaigns can deliver a fun way to pretend models are on vacation, even if they’re not travelling using imaginative props and decorations to capture the true essence of the holidaying spirit. If you want to be whisked away to a land you’re dreaming to discover but just can’t, modelling on a holiday set could be the next best, if not an actual best, thing!
