There is light at the end of the long tunnel we have all been stuck in this past year – and certainly it can’t come quickly enough for all of us, including those in the modelling world.
Despite the difficulties, however, at Models Direct we kept going wherever possible, ensuring the utmost safety of our team at all times and following all safety advice and guidelines. This has been an interesting experience to go through, and, even though we all hope to make a full return to normal soon, we also know there may be times when we have to adhere to some restrictions again.
At Models Direct, our aim is always to support our models in any way we can and certainly the Covid-19 pandemic has seen our experienced staff step up in this area more than ever.
Every job has involved several extra layers of planning for us – and we acknowledge that working in lockdown has also not always been straightforward for our models.
From our point of view, our models have done exceptional work for us this past year, but what has their experience of modelling been like during these strange times?
As usual, we asked them for their feedback, and this is what they had to say:
Five-month-old Lincoln took part in a shoot for us for Infant Innovations Ltd. Afterwards, his mum said:
“It was a really easy process from sign up to my five-month-old son getting his first job. We had a great day. It was all well organised and Covid-safe.”
Abigail and Alfredo were sent on a TFL assignment.
Abigail reported back on Models Direct: “I’m rating them five stars, as their customer service is just the best.
Models Direct made sure that I was sent every information I need for the photoshoot.
“I got to the location that day, I think I got lost but I called them, and they helped me over the phone to find my way. I had a great experience. Thank you, Model’s Direct.”
While Alfredo said: “A very good agency. Last weekend I had my first paid job with Models Direct for TFL.
“Charlie is the best agent ever! He’s very professional! It was an amazing day and I got my first star as a model with experience!
“Without MD team I couldn’t have got that. Thanks so much Models Direct Agency.”
Abinaya went to a ProBlo shoot for us. She said:
“I had my first shoot organised by Models Direct this week for the launch of Sleep.London and ProBloUK, and it was a great first shoot!
“Everyone on set made me feel comfortable and I felt reassured the entire shoot. Overall, I loved the first experience and now feel confident to do more!”
And Neri also felt reassured when she went to an Ideal World TV assignment.
“I have worked with Models Direct for a while now and my most recent booking with Ideal World was an absolute pleasure,” she said.
“Despite covid, they had lots of regulations in place and everyone knew to keep their distance from each other, while wearing masks.
“It was for a new product and as usual, I was made to feel relaxed in this live TV environment.
“Models Direct is always looking out for my wellbeing and is so supportive, especially when trying to make sure I get paid.
“I wouldn’t be working as a model if it wasn’t for them and I am so grateful to them to be able to continue working.”
