Modelling in large groups is so much fun!

Published: 12th May 2024

Most of the assignments we send our models out to tend to involve one, two or maybe a small group of models.

But every so often we are approached to send a very large mixed group of male and female models along to a booking – and what fun that is!

One such assignment was when we were asked to find more than 50 people to attend a shoot in Manchester for Greene King.

The renowned brewery and pub chain is one of our regular clients and often requests groups of models from us for its campaigns and promotions.

These are often tied to particular sporting events that are going to be screened in the Greene King venues or to particular times of year and celebrations.

This particular assignment was for the brewery’s Christmas shoot and our models were asked to arrive in festive jumpers if they had them.

They were provided with food and drink throughout the day and given lots of opportunities to chat with the other models and share ideas and modelling experiences.

There are so many great benefits to modelling in a large group, especially if it is your first time stepping out in front of a camera.

Having others there can really help to reduce nervousness and build confidence. You can also find out what others enjoy or don’t enjoy about modelling.

And, of course, when we send models off on jobs together they can also share their experiences about working with Models Direct.

We ask all our models for feedback after each assignment and this particular booking was no exception.

This is what just some of our models told us afterwards about their experience of working in a large group for Models Direct.

Chantelle said:

“I didn’t know what to expect when arriving for the day and I was unsure about how the other models would gel as a group to create the best content possible.

“But the other models I worked with were, in fact, welcoming and supportive.

“I felt much more at ease due to this and it made the day fun, meeting numerous interesting people and the great direction of the crew enhanced the experience.

“We as a team were constantly laughing and chatting which made for an easy time filming.

“When we finished slightly earlier than expected, it was nice that we as a group stayed afterwards on site for a while to discuss the day.

“I look forward to the potential of future jobs with Models Direct due to the great experience of this modelling role.”

Roy said:

“This was my very first modelling assignment and having never done anything like it previously I wasn’t sure what to expect.

“But I can say without hesitation this was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish!

“From the initial contact from Gemma at Models Direct, who explained everything in advance via e-mails and telephone calls, through to the actual day of the shoot which was interesting and fun!

“I was on set with other models also on their first assignments – we hit it off as group straight away and we had a great day together.

“In fact, we immediately set up a WhatsApp Group after the shoot so we are able to keep in touch with each other……..new friends what more can you ask for :-).”

And Ben simply added:

“Fun, social and fluid. Great atmosphere and plenty of opportunity to learn.”
