When moving from A to B is difficult due to disability or loss of mobility, finding the right assistive technology can be essential.
Innovative brand eFOLDi has come up with a number of solutions, however, and required some fabulous Models Direct models to help them demonstrate just how effective they can be.
The eFOLDi brand, produced by SunTech, was launched by Sumi Wang after her father Jianmin had a serious accident and was unable to find a suitable mobility solution.
Ever innovative, Jianmin designed a mobility scooter for his own use and four years later the first commercial model rolled off the production line.
Today the company, which received investment from Virgin, manufactures three different models.
These include its road-legal, folding scooter the eFOLDi Explorer, a light-weight, compact version, the eFOLDi Lite, and a wheelchair, the eFoldi Power Chair.
To help promote the products, eFOLDi approached Models Direct to request a selection of suitable male, female and mature models.
Our highly efficient team of agents found a number of individuals for the company to consider and they chose the people they felt were right for the job.
Among those picked was our male model Geoff, who headed off for an outdoor shoot with the company’s production crew on a sizzling hot summer day.
The assignment showed him out and about with the scooter, pausing in the sunshine and relaxing at a café.
He also demonstrated just how easy it was to fold and lift the scooter.
After the shoot, we asked Geoff how it all went and this was his feedback:
“It was a great opportunity and Gemma helped me through the process and followed up afterwards.
“It was hot work, working outside on one of the hottest days of the year, but the production team provided plenty of water and allowed me to sit in the shade.
“The photographer and his assistants were highly professional and extra patient with this novice.
“Tim from eFOLDi walked me through everything so I didn’t need to panic, be nervous or get frustrated.
“It was a great experience which I’m looking forward to repeating soon.”
