Who wouldn’t love to meet a sports star?
Maybe you’ve encountered one outside a stadium, or bumped into a sporting hero in the street. Well, thank goodness our commercial model, Robert, didn’t literally bump into his modelling sporting colleague at a recent shoot.
Why? Because the sportsman in question was 6’4’’, 18 and-a-half stone rugby legend James Haskell! We don’t have to guess who would’ve come out second best!
The ex-Wasps and England back-row forward is used to clashing heads with other hard men (all legitimately, of course!), so our intrepid model Robert might have been forgiven for having a few concerns on set. He needn’t have worried, though, because he was full of praise for both the professionals behind the cameras and his co-star.
And what praise it was! Evaluations and feedback are crucial to our business because it helps improve our operations in the build-up to assignments, as well as giving our models any help they need on the day itself.
Robert was absolutely beaming, telling us, “What a day! I loved every minute of it – I was well looked after and I got to meet a legend. It was a great experience for me and my first opportunity to be acting face-to-face with rugby player James Haskell. The crew and cast were lovely as well, and I made new friends. A massive thank you to Gemma for sorting it and being so helpful with any questions I had. I could do this every day if given the chance. Overall, the best day I’ve had in a while. Ten out of ten!”
What can we surmise from Robert’s wonderful modelling shoot? How about the following four points?
1. Commercial models are one of the most versatile and important genres of models out there.
2. Signing up to an agency guarantees jobs are stress-free, with help always available when needed. Indeed, our terrific colleague Gemma has been with us for years, and continues to put models first in all sorts of diverse assignments. Professionalism and dedication always win!
3. Modelling is enjoyable. “I could do this every day if given the chance” commented Robert – an honest opinion that is shared by hundreds of our models, although sadly full-time work is often not possible. That said, we’ll continue recommending the right models to our clients, so there’s no reason why models can’t find regular work with us.
4. Our models can work illustrious professionals in the industry, from make-up experts to distinguished photographers.
We can’t promise that models will be working with superstars all the time, but which realistic model would think that in the first place? What we can assure models is that signing to a credited agency provides all models the very best chance of being seen by our clients – crucial, because it’s our clients who have the final say in picking models for their requirements. If it wasn’t for our fantastic booking team, Robert would have never scored his perfect job modelling alongside James Haskell!
Thankfully James didn’t demonstrate his tackling skills on Robert, or we would’ve had a very happy – but injured – model on our hands!

Modelling experience is not necessary! All you need is the desire to be the best you can be – just like Mr Haskell.
