Isn’t it great when several models come together for a “job well done”? Even better when the job is for a national institution which has helped millions of Brits. You guessed it – we were able to successfully assemble a six-strong talent army for a recent NHS modelling assignment. Doesn’t get much better than that!
The job was a fine example of how commercial models are not only required by hundreds of clients all over the UK – they’re absolutely essential! A lot of our models are debutants – or at least have minimal modelling experience – so it’s uplifting to hear them doing so well when our team discover how the shoots have gone.
The assignment took place in Merseyside, which has one of the largest health trusts in the UK. They serve more than 1.4 million people and have a workforce in excess of 12,000.
With emphasis on working safely and staff commitment at its peak, interaction with the public has never been so important for the NHS. The healthcare organisation has been put through the wringer recently, with Covid piling on undesirable pressure with, amongst others, waiting lists and booster jabs. As it looks to proceed with the professionalism it is famed for, public campaigns are about as important now as they’ve ever been.
Which is why we feel proud to supply the NHS with the most suited talent for their campaigns. This Merseyside shoot required our Super Six to pose as NHS staff for both video and photography stills.
For one of our younger models, Sam, it was his very first professional modelling shoot. What an experience for the young man. His mother couldn’t wait to pass on his feedback: “He loved every minute of it! The photographer and the rest of the team made him feel very welcome which put him at ease. Their instructions were given clearly and in a very friendly way. The shoot was fun and energetic. He is now looking forward to more photo shoots in the future. Thank you!”
For the more experienced model Carol, the NHS assignment was her second time in front of the cameras. She said, “It was a great experience and good learning curve, as this assignment included a speaking part and having a green screen behind. It was good fun trying to learn to walk on the spot making walking look natural. The client, professionals and all the models were lovely to work with. Gemma at Models Direct kept me informed throughout, so thank you for such a great experience. I’m looking forward to my next assignment.”
Commercial modelling is open to anyone with the desire and ambition to climb the rungs of the modelling ladder. It’s fun, worthwhile and very accessible to all types of model – no matter what age, gender or build. Check out how to apply
