Here at Models Direct we always encourage our models to reach for the stars but even so it’s not often we send someone along to work with a company like Spacelabs.
The pioneering health monitoring and diagnostics operation is known for its ground-breaking medical technology and innovations and has worked with NASA.
Now offering its services and products to civilian healthcare facilities too, it was even involved in the historic Gemini and Apollo missions.
Renowned for its own pioneering success in its own field – the modelling industry – Models Direct, which has been in operation for over 30 years now, was approached by Spacelabs for a male model.
The mission was to star in a film showing how to apply ECG equipment.
As usual, we sent the client a selection of suitable models and they made the final choice as to who they wanted for the role.
Our male model Gary was excited to be chosen to head off to Hertfordshire for the day and both he and the client were thrilled with how it all went.
This is what Gary told us afterwards:
“Initially I was nervous as this was going to be my first proper model assignment.
“I had received full information about the shoot and Gemma from Models Direct had called me a few days before to go through the itinerary which put me at ease.
“The client was great – they were very welcoming and made me comfortable.
“It was a great experience to see how the photographer Rob set up the cameras and lights and interacted with me with a storyboard highlighting what they would be videoing and photographing throughout the day.
“It was also great to be able to add input during the shoot adding extras which the client and photographer were more than happy to go with.
“The feedback I received back from the client on the day of the shoot was very positive and they remarked that they would love to use me again if required.”
Jyoti Kailey, Marketing Coordinator, for Spacelabs was also pleased.
She told us that our agent Gemma was friendly, efficient and helpful. She was able to work within the company’s strict legalities, acting fast on paperwork and booking the model.
“I am 100% happy with the service,” she added.
“With something that could have been so stressful, the agent and model made the session and pre-session very easy.
“My manager was very happy with Gary, he listened to directions. He was here on time and was very friendly making the shoot easy.
“Models Direct has been very professional and accommodating to our needs.”
