It is not always easy to ask for help when you need it, especially if you are pregnant or a new mum.
Peterborough City Council launched a campaign to highlight this issue and several of our models were instrumental in helping them.
The aim of the project was to encourage pregnant and new mums to seek help if they were struggling to cope or feeling overwhelmed.
The council also wanted to suggest to other family members and friends that they should ask parents how they were feeling and whether they needed any support.
Peterborough City Council approached Models Direct, requesting male, female, family and child models for a group photo shoot and, of course, we were only too happy to step in.
We sent through a selection of models who all met requirements and the council then selected the people they felt were right for the campaign.
Among them was the Yusuf family – and this is what they told us after the assignment:
“This was our first assignment with Models Direct as a family and it has been a positive experience.
“Communication with Models Direct has been exemplary, as every email is promptly followed up with a phone call, ensuring that we are always well-informed.
“The shoot we took part in was not only enjoyable and laid-back, but also professional and we were treated with utmost respect.
“Upon our arrival, we were briefed on the shoot’s concept and the day’s itinerary, which helped us navigate smoothly through the day.
“The welcoming demeanor of both cast and crew contributed to a seamless experience on set.
“We extend our gratitude to Models Direct for granting us this opportunity and eagerly anticipate the prospect of future collaborations.”
Melissa also took part. She admitted to feeling anxious ahead of time but came back to tell us:
“My first casting with Models Direct was really great.
“I was nervous and excited, but Grace and the team took my nerves away straight away!
“Everyone was really lovely and people made each other feel really welcome and at ease.
“It was a campaign very close to my heart so it was wonderful to be such a big part of it!”
Mounika also came back with some great feedback, saying:
“I had a great day at photo shoot for Peterborough Council.
“I was able to meet new people and expand my acting skills.
“Everyone was super welcoming and friendly. Grace was so kind, helpful and clear with instructions.
“I can’t wait to model again.”
Suly also felt both the crew on the day and Models Direct had been very professional.
He said:
“It was a great experience. I would definitely recommend Models Direct as an agency!”
