Most people aren’t too keen to hop into the dentist’s chair but Erika and Tye were more than happy to open wide for Newby Dental.
Yes, the dental practice requested a male and female model from Models Direct to take part in a film and photo shoot at its newly renovated, custom-designed surgery in Scarborough.
The booking was to generate publicity material and our dazingly duo, who were selected by the client from our shortlist, were only too happy to help out.
Increasingly these days, commercial modelling clients approach us looking for everyday models.
These are individuals who could realistically play the part of one of their patients, customers, members of staff or volunteers.

Anthony, for example, accepted a commercial modelling job where he played the part of a client for a care agency.
Afterwards, he told us:
“I had a wonderful day – all the people I worked with were very welcoming and friendly.
“Thank you, to all.
“As I was playing the part of a client for a caring company, I was showcasing what this company offers to its elderly customers.
“I had photographs taken with a number of their carers, and doing many things like exercises, cooking, gardening, eating out and going to the cinema.
“It was a very good and enlightening day.”
And Ewelina was chosen by Morrisons to play the part of one of their members of staff.
She said:
“I had my first shoot yesterday and I was nervous for no reason!
“It was a Morrisons photo shoot for the Pringles campaign and I was dressed as the store colleague.
“The shoot was super fun and exciting the whole way through.
“The team made me feel comfortable and the instructions for the photos were clear.
“I also want to mention that Charlie at Models Direct made the whole process really easy and made me feel ready and at ease prior to my shoot.
“I cannot wait to continue this journey and see where it takes me.
“Thank you Models Direct.”
But, how did Erika and Tye enjoy their experience at the dentist’s?
Tye said:
“I had my first booking.
“I turned up with a brief of what to expect when I got to the venue and everyone there was really professional and friendly.
“We all had a great time and achieved what was set out for us: photos, filming and even voice-overs!
“I loved it.
“What can I say…I can’t wait for my next booking!”
And Erika, who has worked with Models Direct before on commercial modelling jobs, said:
“Models Direct is reliable.
“I have had experiences with other agencies but after the fee was paid never heard from them anymore.
“However, from Models Direct, I received lots of guidance, plus confirmation and feedback about me and my portfolio etc.
