So, it’s the morning of your first modelling job. Make sure you get up nice and early so you have plenty of time to prepare and get to the location where the photoshoot is. Wake up, shower, exfoliate your face and body and moisturise. Dry your hair and then leave it natural, don’t straighten or curl your hair, as they will do this when you get to your shoot (unless told otherwise).
Also you want to look as natural as possible, so don’t layer on your makeup… maybe just some BB cream for your face. The make up artists will want a clean fresh face to work on when you arrive at the location.
“When I went on my last modelling job, I threw my hair in a bun, BB cream on my face and wore a pair of my comfiest trainers, jumper and jeans.” Victoria
Make sure you leave plenty of time for travelling to the shoot, you do not want to be late on your first or any job. Always allow more time in case of any traffic or diversions. If you are travelling on the train or bus, check to make sure they are running on time!!
Be professional and confident in what you do. If you leave the job with the clients and team liking you and the results, then there is more of a chance they will want you back for another job. Show them you are passionate about what you do and show you have an interest in their business, maybe even do your homework beforehand, do some research on their business and get to know who and what they do… they will love this! Have a look at their website and social media, see what their style is and use this for when you are on set.
Don’t be nervous, worried or anxious… Just be your funny, loving self and have fun (while also being professional). The team will be welcoming and friendly and will guide you on what they want you to do. They picked you to represent their business, so show them you are the best at what you do and they made the correct choice!
