That’s what happened to the Moore family – sort of.
We’ve touched upon the merits of family modelling before, and there’s no better example than the family’s recent assignment for Verdant Leisure.
As a bespoke holiday park operator, Verdant Leisure welcomes thousands of families annually to their award-winning parks across Scotland, Northern England and North Devon. It was their Devon location at Woolacombe that the Moore’s had the pleasure of visiting for their stills and video shoot. The objective was creating “happy family”-style content for Verdant Leisure’s website and social media pages, which has approached 9,000 followers.
The one thing we couldn’t absolutely guarantee was the weather. What we could arrange, though, was a detailed itinerary and the promise of a fun, well-paid modelling job for a close-knit family intent on pursuing more modelling jobs. The Moore’s hit the brief, and we were delighted that they were snapped up by Verdant Leisure after suggesting them to the company.
The family travelled down to Woolacombe on the night before their big day. We’re not sure if they packed their luggage as they would for a proper holiday, but they certainly didn’t need passports!
The emphasis for the shoot was creating a real-life scenario that families have enjoyed since the company bought Pease Bay Park on the Berwickshire coast and the site at Thurston Manor in East Lothian back in 2010. The Moores got stuck in and were immediately put at ease as they posed for stills at the Golden Coast Leisure Park – Verdant Leisure’s only park in Southern England.
Nerves were put aside as the family quickly settled into the life of a Models Direct: productive, fun-filled work with a top client. Oh, and if the job is on set of a relaxing holiday resort, then who’s going to argue!
Moore family feedback; “Our assignment was one for the whole family. We found the whole experience positive, encouraging and supportive. Both my children were nervous to start with, but were quickly made to feel relaxed and this allowed their characters to come out. My husband and I are definitely not naturals but were made to feel comfortable and given guidance where needed. The whole day was busy but an absolute pleasure.”
Now, if that feedback doesn’t get the family juices flowing, nothing will!
